Utah Tibetan Association celebrated their annual summer camp to live their culture, tradition and religion on 17th and 18th of September, 2022.

Utah Summer Camp 2022 Program Details.
Saturday, September 17:
1:00 to 2:30pm
• Meet and greet
Tibetan National Anthem. U.S National Anthem. Main hall. Setup chairs seats facing stage.
Welcome speech by UTA president Lobsang Tsering la.
Program details and activity timeline by Tenzin Chodar la.
• History discussion/presentation led by Tenzin Thokme.
3:30 pm Evening Tea/ Juice and snacks. Prepared by gyunlek.
5:00 to 6:00 pm
• Momo workshop (We will split up kids in few groups and have them shadow parents from the parent committee in the momo making process.)
• Dinner- Momo Veg – Non-veg, cream of mushroom soup and salad. Prepared by parents committee.
7:00 to 9:00 pm
• Tibetan Games/Gorshay/Smores (Youdon & Karma Thinley will put together the Tibetan Games- Tug of war, Wolf/Sheep, Balloon bursting game, Tibetan Number Game.
9:00 to 10 pm
• Movie/Sleepover “The Cup”
Sunday, September 18:
7:00 to 8am
• Wake up (No late sleepers allowed. Parents are responsible for getting the kids ready)
8:00 to 9am (Kids that are not sleeping overnight need to arrive by 8am sharp)
• Prayers led by Tenlhawang la.
• Introduction to Buddhism. Introduction to prostration & Yunchap by Yehga la & Khando la
9:00 to 10:00am
• Breakfast prepared by UTA Gyunlek. Pancake, Syrup, Omellette, tortilla, sausage, orange juice and milk.
o How to make Tibetan “Pa” tsampa.
o Video on projector on how to make Tsampa, Pa, and Jamtuk during breakfast. Rabjam la will prep.
10:00 to 11:30am
• Presentations by Tenlhawang la class on stage.
• Tibetan musical instrument presentation by Lobsang Tsering
11:30 to 12:00pm
• Performance by Kedor la class.
15 minute recess.
12:15 to 1:30pm
• Competition quiz game. Led by Kedor la.
1:30 to 2:30pm
• Lunch prepared by executive members and volunteers.
o Veg/ Non Veg Chowmein and salad.
3:00 to 4:00pm
• Gorshay led by Tselhamo la in the Main hall.
4:00 to 4:30pm
• Closing Ceremony by President Lobsang Tsering la in the main hall. Presentation of gifts.
4:30pm to 5:00pm
• End of Event Clean Up by Gyunlek and parents committee of the following areas: Main hall, kitchen, restrooms, common areas and back lot.
